Phil's nomination story

Phil Jones has inspired me, even though he works full time as a senior medical professional and has a family, he has managed to give up his time to coach and support children of age 8 and up, whatever their ability. He does this 3 evenings a week plus most weekends when hes not working. This is every week and all though the winter. He managed to turn a failing athletics club and has transformed it so that children of all ages and ability are competing and enjoying the experience, and doing brilliantly. He has voluntarily coached in schools and arranged for other coaches to do so. He is there for the children as a confident and will not tolerate bullying in the club. He is repected and liked by the children. He watches the children and inspires them to do things they didnt even know they could do. On top of the coaching he tirelessy updates the website, arranges teams and gives everyone a chance to shine. He feels its the taking part that matters and the self development of the children. I feel this man is a true inspiration, he is passionate about athletics and giving everyone a chance to be what they can be. It would be a dream come true for him to carry the torch, I can think of nobody else that has given more. He selflessly suggested nominating an athlete from the club. I know this would mean the world to him so I am nominating Philip Jones. He would do Wales Proud, he ran for Wales himself when he was younger. This would be a dream. Thank you.
