Pete's nomination story

Pete has set up so many sporting events for charity. When unemployed set up a club to keep others active by performing comps for charity.continue to run the Quest Club which I done for the last 29 years. Started in 1982 to have-a-go at different sports we can claim to have done the alphabet of sports. From ABC Archery-Basketball- Canoeing to XYZ Xcountry-Yachting-Zorbing and everything in between. Every 4 / 5 years we have undertaken large charity events. 100 miles Raft Race Hay-on-Wye to Chepstow . John O'Groats to Lands End by 10 different means of self-propulsion. 100 sports in 100000 seconds to celebrate Birmingham's 100th year as a city in 1989. Cycling from Birmingham to Lyon- Milan-Frankfurt and back. Cycling from Birmingham to Edinburgh-Belfast-Dublin-Cardiff-London and back These events have raised over £35.000. We aim to do another event in 2012 for our 30th.
