For over 40 years Pete's influence has been immense, providing enjoyment, self belief and, sometimes, helping youngsters avoid delinquency through positive intervention.
One parent said; at age 6 our son was diagnosed dyspraxic and dyslexic. Excluded from team sports at school, he suffered low self esteem. Through judo, Pete helped him develop coordination and self confidence. 6 years on, he is a happy, confident young man who plays in his school rugby team and has been selected Head Boy.
This positive influence has been magnified many times. Throughout Bath and beyond, people have gained from Pete's commitment to helping individuals 'grow' through sport, whatever their ability.
Pete has a magnetic personality and is a skilled, enthusiastic teacher. His commitment to community led him to turn a near derelict youth centre into a centre for martial arts, dance and other activities.
