Peter's nomination story

Peter Mwaura is an extremely modest young man, who has overcome immense adversity in his life. His mother was tragically killed in a road accident upon the first week at arriving at Westcliff. The huge amount of courage and determination he has demonstrated in first coming to terms with his loss, but also managing the demands of a new environment and challenges of a Grammar School is truly inspirational. Peter is still coming to terms with his loss, but he has not let this affect his impact at Westcliff. Within three days he was representing the school football team and scoring the opening goal of the fixture. He has been an ever present in the football team and never misses a game or training session. He has also made excellent progress in his school studies and is unfailingly punctual with deadlines. He is a young man or exceptionally high standards and expectations, who is clearly very popular amongst his peers and also highly respected for his strength and resilience.
