Peter's nomination story

Peter is inspirational, working tirelessly to break down the stigma of HIV

At 40 having lived with HIV for half of his life, he trained to run the London Marathon.Six years and 10 marathons later, his enthusiasm remains astounding. He has helped raise thousands for charities including Help & Care, Positive Action and Julia House.

He also volunteers behind the scenes: as a Trustee of Positive Action, at his running club and recently as launch co-ordinatory for the Anne Frank Exhibition Bournemouth-where he supported others in delivering a memorable cross-generayional, interfaith event.

He is commited to equalities:his work is centred on encouraging social cohesion and full and active inclusion of disadvantaged groups.

Living life to the full in face of a life-limiting illness, Peter would be a torch bearer who would represent the Olympic ideals in every way
