Peter's nomination story

Peter has run 372 marathons, raising over £500,000 for charities.Runs include Everest, Sahara Desert, Antarctica, North Pole, Europe,London, Boston-USA, Argentina, enduring and suffering extremes of heat and cold, as well as high altitude. He combines his love of running with a strong desire to raise funds for charities which are alleviating suffering at home and abroad. He is a modest man and was awarded an MBE in recognition of his services to humanity. He is an inspiration to all young athletes, and indeed to anyone facing adversity, showing what one can achieve with a positive outlook. Mr. M. Bradley, our Borough Council Mayor ( Coleraine, Portrush, Portstewart ) has gladly sent me a letter of support for Peter's nomination. Peter assists I.T. students at U.U.C. His running CV is outstandingly UNIQUE! He did not ask me to nominate him. I asked HIM to let his name be put forward. He replied he would be honoured if I did. He has been a great ambassador for Northern Ireland for several years. He deserves to be selected.
