Peter Cabble

Drove 2300 miles in a three wheeled Reliant Robyn, from his garage The Foundry Garage, in Street, Somerset to Monte Carlo. He drove dressed as Stig and Mrs Cabble navigated to raise a total of £12,000 for Funding Neuro. This charity researches treatment for Parkinsons and other neurological diseases. He drove the 2,300 round trip in his 3 wheeler averaging 50 MPH with no breakdowns! The outgoing trip took 19 and a half hours and was so successful they took the scenic route back. The whole trip took 10 days. They initially raised £7,500, but from local press and awareness, they have raised a further £4,500. It is a charity close to their hearts as Mr Cabble`s brother-in-law suffered from Parkinsons for 20 years. As mentioned this is a very dear charity to The Cabbles and to come up with such a great idea which has attracted a lot of attention in the UK, but also in the countries visited. Mr Cabble noted his highlight as turning up at Casino Monte Carlo and pulling up beside the Ferarris and Maseratis in his Reliant and then handing the keys to the valet! I would love to have seen it!
