Peter Beausire

Peter is involved in Basketball, volleyball and rowing representing his island in Volleyball at the island games this year and is a dedicated team player.

He has spend several years training young people in basketball to encourage them to take on a sport and understand the health benefits along with the discipline that it brings to work together as a team player. In todays world he teached the youngsters that nothing can be achieved on your own and that through sport you can learn life skills that will build confidence for your daily lifes as well. The youth basketball with his help has encouraged a lot of young people to stay with the sport after they leave school and has in turn strengthened the baskeball leagues in the island and brought in new blood that will in turn be the leaders of the sport in the future.

He has also been involoved with the island Youth games that brings together all different types of sports spending many hours in training and preperation and his time and commitment is second to none. I feel that carrying the torch would recognise the time and effort he has given to the sport of baskeball and its future stars.
