Pauline Powell

Pauline didn't start running until she was 50, to raise money for macmillan after her close friend died of cancer, since then has run at least 2 races a year, half marathons and marathons. She always runs for charity and chooses a differant one each time, quite often dying her hair the charity colour. All her work collegues and friends support her , she is there local fundraiser, always smiling and encouraging the youngsters along the way.

Her running partner is 27 years younger but Pauline still manages to give her a run for her money and on occasions still beats her.

She is an inspiration to us all, and would be so proud and excited

to carry the torch. CR
