Paula's nomination story

I've worked for Lloyds TSB for 24 years and when my sister asked me to nominate her for this I felt it was the least I could do. In September 2009 she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and had to undergo 6 months of treatment, which included surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, it was a gruelling process to go through. The treatment she had was all administered at The Beacon Centre, Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton. She was so thankful at the level of care that was shown to her and her family that she has been raising money for the centre ever since. She started before her treatment by doing a sponsored head shave and has since done a coffee morning and run the Taunton 10K, London Marathon and the Race for Life. In total so far she has raised nearly £4,000 for the centre. In 3 years time she is going to run from John O'Groats to Lands End!!!!!
