Paul's nomination story

Paul is a person who has not let the fact that he is registered blind to detract from achieving personal goals within his own life and always tries his very best in what ever he does. Having run over 217 marathons Paul has made many new friends who have supported him through his runs and others with whom he comes into contact with. He is inspirational not only to those running with him, but is also a role model for other people with sight loss to believe that anything is possible. His commitment to others is also seen in his newest challenge of volunteering at the RNCB where his respectful attitude ensures his encouragement is always perceived as supportive without being judgmental towards those whose achievements are not as successful as his own. Paul is also a member of Herefordshire Vision Links which is the local blind association for Herefordshire. This would be a great opportunity for Paul to celebrate the impact he has had on other visually impaired people as well as those with sight. Paul has a regular runner who runs with him who will also run with him whilst carrying the torch. Paul would love the opporutity to thank his friend in this way and acknowledge the support he has given him which allows Paul to continue his passion for running.
