Paul Tuffin

Paul has been a paddler at the top level, for several years, and has managed to combine this with a friendly open attitude that has encouraged others to try the sport, whether being the mainstay of the university club, as a coach at Holme Pierrepont Canoe Club, or just meeting people on the riverbank. Although training to be a Paediatric Nurse, Paul still volunteers at all levels, judging at a low division slalom events; as a section judge at division one/premier slalom events, at his local club as well as making a massive contribution to the 2009 Canoe Slalom European Championships in Nottingham. Paul's contribution as a volunteer was an example to all as he lead, trained and managed the flag team for the Victory Ceremonies and he became right hand man to the Head of Protocol. His enthusiasm, energy and commitment is outstanding and goes that extra mile to help in any way he can.
