Slatts Slattery

Paul Slattery is one of the most inspirational people i have ever had the plessure to meet. I have known Paul for 28 years. He is an incredible athelte playing rugby union to a high standard and captaining of Beckenham Rugby club for a number of years. It is in the last 10 years that he has shown his full metal. In starting a sports based charity O2E ( ordinary to extordinary ) he has inspired people to go that extra mile. The charity has many members and is purely voluntary. It caters from the elite to the first time 5 k runner . All monies raised are donated to local child based charities. In asking his permisson he was very quick to point out that the charity is a group and cannot be put down to 1 man. Typical modesty from a person whos selflessness not only helps others in need but drives all to achive goals that they thought would never be possible. I cannot think of anyone who is more suited to carry the flame for our country.
