Paul's nomination story

Paul is inspirational. In the three years he has lived in this community, Paul has become a volunteer for First Responders, actively fund raising too. He is a volunteer helper with the local Brownie Pack and helps at many of our events at school, including running a thriving athletics club, for which he takes a late lunch hour from work to attend. His passion is swimming and he has used this to raise money for many causes, including Macmillan Nurses and Marie Curie. Paul's major new challenge is swimming the channel in September and he has arranged many fund raising events leading up to this. His chosen charities are St Helena Hospice, Colchester Samaritans and First Responders. His intense training programme has him swimming every morning before work at Gosfield Lake or Frinton on sea. Paul's three children attend Colne Engaine Promary school and it was the pupils here at school who wanted to nominate him. He is a true inspiration to them and 'walks the talk' in helping them to realise that they too can make a difference in the lives of others. He so deserves this great honour!I would like to add that i also train at the Halstead lesure center, which has also been of great support.
