Carrying the Flame on | |

Paul's baby daughter, Alice, was born with a rare liver condition and lived for just 15 days. Since her death, Paul has worked tirelessly with his wife Miranda and son Sam (now 10 years old) to raise money to help families with seriously ill children in hospital. To date the family has raised nearly £48k through a range of initiatives, including many in which Paul has pushed himself physically and mentally to achieve. Paul takes part in the Great North Run every year, and recently also overcame his fear of heights to abseil over 400 feet down the Northampton Lift Tower. Paul and his family have turned great personal tragedy into a way to help others, so he deserves to carry the flame because he is an inspiration to others.
