Guernsey-born and educated Paul Radford is the island's Mr Olympics and was nominated to carry the torch by the London 2012 organisers. Paul has reported on 15 Olympics starting with the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Games. At the last five Olympics he was editor-in-charge of the world's largest international multimedia news agency - leading a team of around 300 journalists, photographers and television crews at the 2008 Beijing Games for which he won a major award for the coverage delivered. He has devoted much time passing on his knowledge and experience to help disseminate the Olympic message improving access and conditions for the thousands of journalists who cover the Games. Paul has served for 12 years on the IOC's Press Commission and is one of a handful of journalists appointed to LOCOG's Media Advisory Group to help plan arrangements for the international journalists covering the London Games.
