Paul McCarthy

Paul has run marathons/half marathons and has participated in badge selling locally to raise funds for a range of charitable organizations - Kidney Research; Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance - to name a couple. He is about to run the Great North Run for the RNIB. He also coaches at a local sports club for disabled; able bodied young people in Sleaford and has spent several months undertaking a UK Athletics Level 2 course to be qualified to coach. Paul always ensures that all the youngsters are able to participate and adjusts training sessions so that they are suitable for all. He encourages each individual to stretch themselves to the best of their ability, so that they are competing with their own target, rather than that of someone else. The sessions are very much fun, although everyone leaves at the end of the morning having worked up a sweat and having had a good time with friends.
