Paul's nomination story

Paul Magee is the head coach for Beechmount Harriers Athletic Club. Originally this club had a strong membership. Recent years saw a fall off in numbers of children due to the lack of volunteers. Paul, as a coach, continued with dedication, training children and teenagers with very little assistance, to keep the running club alive in West Belfast. However, the club has slowly recruited more members and volunteers, (currently approx 85 members) with Paul constantly there as an inspiration to both parents and any child, whatever age, whatever ability, who wishes to run track, road and cross country. As well as training the youth three times per week, Paul takes on the responsibility of organising transport for races all over Ireland in addition to driving these buses to each competition. He looks after the monetary aspect of the club, often using his own finance to help fund the club members without their knowledge. He is responsible for administration of the club, updating memberships and dealing with the numerous registrations for races etc. Paul continues to give encouragement and support to the youth of West Belfast, those who wish to compete and those who use the club to integrate with their peers. He also coaches GCSE students in their practicals, coaches in the local primary and secondary schools, all free of charge. Without Paul, the local athletics club in West Belfast would not exist. Please nominate Paul, he is a selfless and an inspiration.
