Roddy's nomination story

Besides being the man who set up the Human Trafficking Team at Scotland Yard in 2006, Roddy has been working with disabled adults and children as a volunteer for over twenty years. For ten years he worked with 'Dreamflight' taking terminally ill children to Disney World. He accompanied 200 children each year and raised thousands of pounds -- even riding a bike 1500 miles in the US and repelling off Canary Wharf. Since 2004 he has been with the Disabled Skiers Program at Milton Keynes where he skies with disabled and trains able bodied skiers to ski with the disabled. In addition he has run the London Marathon and done triathalons with Mark, his blind friend who he ski's with. He has volunteered to coach children's rugby for 20 years running two youth rugby teams in addition to charity his work. He is an inspiration to all and he wants to carry the torch with his blind friend, Mark
