Paul Elwood

Paul , (Head Coach, Ulverston Amateur Swimming Club) How do I start to describe the impact and sheer inspiration of a man who works tirelessly to help a group of young people, from the age of seven to fifty seven, achieve their best whether that is a personal goal or a National swimming time. He is a truly dedicated ambassador for the sport of swimming, giving up his evenings (7pm - 10pm) five nights a week as well as (6am - 7-30am) four mornings. Paul has the ability through encouraging, supporting and the use of humour to build the confidence of all the young swimmers in both our club and beyond. Paul also coaches children from another local club as well as giving more of his time to the North West development squad in Manchester. All this along side being a caring husband, father as well as a hard working Pharmacist. Appreciation for Paul is well deserved and our team can not hope enough that he is lucky in being chosen to be part of this great event and part of history.
