Paul Draper

I nominate Paul who is an amazing person. He worked in my team in Essex County Council Social Care Direct for some years and opened us all up to charity events! He was always raising money for charity and getting us all involved in national charity days like Children In Need and Red Nose Day. He would always dress up in fancy dress and organise lots of fundraising, like cake baking and games etc. He was loved by the whole team! He was striving to get a job within a charity organisation and last year left the team to take up an unpaid Fundraising Income Growth internship for Cancer Research UK in London. He became one of their highest fundraisers but unfortunately it was only a 3 month internship. During that time he did a sponsored night time walk crossing 10 of London's bridges and was the second highest fundraiser, and this was done in December 2010 in all the snow, so a cold night! He has since gained employment with St Helena Hospice in a fundraising/community support role which is perfect for Paul. Paul loves the Olympics and applied to be a volunteer at the 2012 in London. He would be perfect as a torchbearer and he would be so proud to do this for his country.
