Paul's nomination story

Paul is a cultural ambassor for not only Aberdeenshire but Scotland. he is a world-renowned fiddle player and composer who has appreared on tv, radio and played on more than 50 albums. As well as being a professional musican he teaches locally and has around 10 pupils who are all winning prizes as well. He regulary donates his compositions to local charities including, North East School of Music and The Gorodn Highlanders Museum. One piece raised around £5000 at auction. He supports his local community (Tarland in Aberdeenshire) and is a member of The Aboyne Highland Games. He gives his time for free at local concerts which are raising funds for charity. He also is a well respected adjucator of Scottish Fiddle music and feels that through teaching and adjucating he can pass on his skills. Wherever he is playing, be it in Austrailia, Canada, Norway or his local village hall, Paul is passionate about Aberdeenshire and traditional music. He inspires many people and is a valued member of his community.
