Joe Walsh

My brother and his wife have brought smiles, warmth and inspiration in the field of Dogs for the Disabled. They are the proud owners of two such dogs who have brought comfort and companionship in the home and utter charm to all who meet them outside. Joe has been dedicated to promoting this scheme so that others who have experienced difficulties may discover and consider owning a dog. Through various open days and events he attends he shows a realistic passion for the unique relationship that can grow. This has helped people seriously consider whether they can commit to having a dog and has, I'm sure increased the success of owners and dogs being matched for life. In his quiet way, Joe has hilighted how others can contribute to the scheme, either being sponsored for running marathons or channelling donations. As a keen athelete, it seems fitting that he carries the Olympic Torch.
