Patrick Collins

Patrick is Chief Sports Writer of the Mail on Sunday since the paper was launched in 1982. Has covered every Olympics since Munich 1972, with the single exception of Montreal '76. London will therefore be his tenth Summer Games. Staunch supporter of the London bid from the outset and covered the 2005 IOC Congress in Singapore at which the bid was won. Has written several television documentaries with Olympic themes and is a former member of the Council of Sport England and ex - chair of the British Athletics Writers Association.
