Running for those short of breath. To raise awareness of Pulmonary Hypertension, a rare and debilitating disease, the PH association in France organises an ultramarathon called "At the top of your lungs". During the two day event, the ultramarathoners run the 205km between Toulouse and Port-La-Nouvelle along the Canal du Midi. The ultramarathon is not a competition, but a collective sporting journey that links patients and athletes. Each athlete has the name of a patient on their t-shirt. This gives courage to patients for whom a simple action such as going up some stairs represents a challenge. The athletes are driven to exceed their limits. After 4 years of accompanying ultramarathoners with more than 100 athletes running the marathon, Patrick joined them this year in covering 150km for a patient called Lucie. . Following this marathon, Patrick feels more mature and inspired by the many great shared moments he shared with other participants.
