Pat Burgess

An amazing jumping coach who is a gifted communicator and still extremely active in the equestrian world at over 80 years of age (I think she is 82)!

Pat has trained Olympic eventing medallists including Lucinda Green and Ginny Leng plus dozens of other top eventers including Lucinda Fredricks and Sue Benson (who is the Cross country course designer) and probably thousands of other riders. Pat still travels regularly to USA, South Africa and other countries to give jumping clinics. Pat is a very well known coach who continues to run inspirational jumping workshops in her own unique style for horses and riders of all levels. Pat has always been very much ahead of her time with her coaching skills and unique approach to each horse, treating them all as individuals and ensuring that horses, rider, helpers and observers were all fully involved and enjoy the experience - she makes it all great fun.

Pat also founded a wonderful RDA centre near Salisbury about 30 years ago and is still very much involved there organising events and teaching several days a week. Pat still has a desire to learn and improve - she attended our BEF Coaching Conference last year. She really is an amazing person. CR
