Pat Baggott

Pat has been raising funds for a number of Charities( The WI, Kenya Childrens Centre, St Lukes Hospice, and Derriford Hospital) over the past 6 years, she does this by completing various cycle challenges. She has done all this whilst recovering from breast cancer diagnosed some 5 years ago. During the past 4 years she has been giving talks to WI groups throughout Devon based on the theme When was the last time you did something for the first time Through this she has inspired many people to take up a new challenge of give them the courage to deal with a problem. She has also secured funding for her local WI and used it to organise a year long programme of exercise activities ranging from Rescue yor Body to Yoga and Pilates. Pat is hoping to be a volunteer for the Games but to be chosen to carry the flame here in Devon would be for her recognition of the contribtion she has made
