Pamela has given up her free time every Tuesday evening of term time to help run and coach at Aberdeen Physically Disabled Swimming Club. The club used to meet from 6.30 till 8pm but has moved premises several times and is now at RGU in Garthdee, Aberdeen from 7.30 till 8.30pm. Pamela has been the main stay of the club for approx 25 years and has only now decided it is time to retire and have some more freedom and leisure time for herself. As well as helping each week at the club Pamela also made time to visit members when they were ill and has been the organiser of weekends away or an annual day out. Since these normally involve 5 or 6 wheelchairs it is not an easy matter and each veue must be checked for accessibility. Pamela has given so much of her time and energy we would like to see her get a reward as acknowledgement of all the years of assistance provided.
