Pam's nomination story

Pam jones started the chris jones riders fund after the tragic loss of her son. Christopher jones was only 14 years old when he tragically lost his life in 2005 at cadwell park in lincolnshire. Christopher was a red bull rookie rider in the 125 British championship, he was extremely talented and loved my many, including his sister and father. Pam started the CJ fund up the year after Christophers death. The CJ fund provides all the medical equipment at all the British superbike events. Just after the first year of fundraising the CJ fund had raised over 100,000 which payed for the mobile x ray machine which goes to each event. They raise money that pays for the air ambulance every year at cadwell park and also physio therapists for the riders to use. In 2010 they payed out for air fencing which goes to each track. All this equipment helps injured riders. Pam does this fundraising in all weathers and is an inspiration to the motoring sport.
