I am nominating Pam because she is an inspiration to us all. She works at Hurst Park Primary School and does more than anyone I know to encourage all the children to take part in a physical activity. She can be seen early in the morning warming up for the cross country club before school, or after school running the athletics club. When she's not busy on the sports field, the tow path jogging, or walking the children back from swimming she's organising or overseeing extra activities for the children after school, these include tennis, gymnastics, dance, lacross, football, cricket, rugby and recently bell boating! This school has one of the widest ranges of activities available, at very low cost to the parents, some just £1 because we have a Pam. We also have lots of parents helping out too as many of the clubs are over subscribed. However it is not just the above that makes me nominate Pam, it's because she goes over and above the required. Pam is frequently seen out of school hours giving her support to children from this school in out of school activities, football tornaments, athletics, district sports and so on. When people go out their way for others for no personal gain, it's special. This is why I along with the parents and teachers at this school nominate Pam. Oh not forgetting, when I asked her if I could nominate her she said ' yes I'd definitely be up for holding the torch but you just asking me has made my day!'
