I wish to nominate Pamela Grant to carry the flame from Bangor. Aged 52, Pam has been member of the Mysteruns, - a local club, for many years. She recently completed her 13th London Marathon. Over the years she has raised over £5000 for Hope House, a hospice for the respite of terminally ill children. She has also raised a considerable sum for Cancer Relief in memory of her mother who died of cancer. This year she raised £400 for Beau, her cousin's grandson towards enabling him to have much needed surgery in the U.S.A. Recently, Pam entered the Race for Life at Rhyl. However instead of running the race, she walked the course alongside a friend who was unable to run. Her friend was overjoyed at achieving the completion of this race and grateful to Pam for her willingness to give up the run for her friend's sake. Pam is a very caring person and determined to use her love of running to help those in need.I am aged 53 not 52 (and will be 54 in August, 2011). I raised £350 for Beau not £400.
