Owen Williams

Owen has played basketball since he was 4, and has represented and captained Wales at every age level. He also played for and coached the Welsh Universities team, and in 2006 represented Great Britain under 20s in Poland.

Captain of the Rhondda Cynon Taff Gladiators competing in the English Basketball League , he is also a coach to the clubs U14; U16; and U18 teams, and has been responsible for numerous initiatives in schools and the community, encouraging young people to become active and spend their time in a constructive manner.

A true role model, Owen leads by example on and off the court and inspires young players to achieve their full potential.

After Glamorgan University he followed a PGCE course and qualified as Design Teacher. Currently teaching in Built Wells High. Owen is highly respected and a credit to Welsh Basketball and Rhondda Cynon Taff.
