Covering a wide range of sports as a national newspaper journalist, and the issues around them, I have showcased some of those Olympic and Paralympic sports and athletes that do not get much coverage elsewhere. I have also covered the build up to the Olympics and Paralympics in detail, as well as the hoped for legacy from the Games and associated issues around grassroots and community sport. By continuing to hold those responsible for the legacy in sports participation and school sport to account, it is to be hoped that they will deliver on their promises.
