Livi's nomination story

Livi is 12, she lost her step father in a terrible car accident when she was just 8 years old, and shortly afterwards, her dear granddad died suddenly. This terrible loss of the two most dearest men in her life has not stopped her marching on to achieve and excel herself. She was accepted as the FIRST female air scout for her troop which has been running for over 40 years (since then, other girls have followed suit) she has taken part in many volunteering positions helping the community within her scouting role. Livi has been funded throughout her private education and is the only child in her school to live in council accommodation, yet she still received the highest grade possible in her English Speaking Board examination (full distinctions!) Livi spends regular time with her recently bereaved nanny helping her with baking and gardening, but her true passion is the outdoors, and sports like fencing, shooting and hiking when she respects the countryside where she lives! Livi has researched Wenlock Olympian (the birthplace of the Olympics) as it is only a couple of miles from home. She is a pleasant, amiable young lady, and would do this country proud to represent the United Kingdom in such an honourable task as to carry the torch for the Olympics, having followed the progress over the last few years - but because of financial restraints, she would never be able to attend such a prolific event, however, if granted a place now, she may be a part of 'our Olympics'
