Oliver has logged well over 2500 hours of volunteering in the last few years giving his time to a multitude of sports related projects. He volunteers on the youth panel for the 2012 Olympic Games, the England netball advisory Youth Group and has been a member of the young ambassador steering group for Youth Sport Trust that seeks to inspire young people to lead healthier lives. He attended the International Olympic Committee congress in Greece summer 2009 and has taken on variety of roles within England Netball to develop and promote the sport as well as coaching players. He has currently taken a gap year and devotes his time to coaching a school netball and county satellite academy, working with disabled young people at a community sports club two evenings a week and working towards his level 3 netball coaches award. He already has a long list of coaching awards from swimming to cheerleading! His life has been transformed by sport and he is dedicated to doing the same for others. In 33 years of teaching and coaching he is truly one of the most inspirational young people I have ever worked with and would be a first class torch bearer.
