Oli Edmonds

Oli is training for iron man in July to raise money for Help for Heres. He has done the Portsmouth marathon in December 2010, then the Paris marathon in April 2011. He has done a cycle from John O Groates to Lands End finishing on May 20th 2011. His cycle companion dropped out on day 2 with sore knees and Oli completed it on his own with great hardship, 100 miles a day is no mean feat on your own! He is doing it all for Help for Heroes and I believe is truely inspirational. He works as an Engineer full time so does all his training around work, and tells his friends he will keep doing stupid events till they all sponsor him. He finds insiration from army contacts, his Dad is in the army and some of his friends. He feels inspired by the disabled servicemen who will be taking some part in ironman in July in Bolton. For a 23 year old man he is truely inspiring, always looking for a sporting challenge.I've now completed IRONMAN UK, finishing in 11:28:49, far faster than my predicted 13hrs, inspired and humbled by Team True Spirit. I have raised roughly £1000 so far and I hope I'm inspiring more friends and family to get out and do some sport.
