Norman's nomination story

Norman's been voted an Unsung Hero (Ely Standard) and played in the FA cup in 1958 he is a sporting inspiration to all - young and old. In the future I hope to continue inspiring young and old to keep active and enjoy sports. I am 75 years old. Currently I organise carpet bowls tournaments and sports sessions for retired/disabled raising over £30000 for charity. I have been awarded 2 unsung hero awards and would like to inspire others to contribute to their community. Here's a brief list of my achievements: FOOTBALL: Played in the FA Cup (1956) Player Manager Waterbeach Ely City Reserves and Littleport Town Football Club CRICKET: Started 1947 and am now President of the Kirkland Cup ran Ely City Crusaders under 15s ran LTCC youth team. First player to score 100 at Highfield ground played for LTCC on tour against Cheltenham civil servants scoring 10 wickets (1958).
