Bella Murray

Bella is 82 years old and has four children 6 grandchildren and 6 great grand children Bella came to the united Kingdom in 1960 from Dar er salam east Africa in East Africa she and her husband became involved in the Guide and Scout movement. On Arrival to the United Kingdom she continued supporting the Guide and Scout movement until she retired in 1990. When she moved to West Wales. Here she found time on her hands and volunteered wih the local catholic church supporting international students, she also started voluntering at Hafan y deg a residential care home for the elderly taking on entertainment activities fundraising and meals on wheels, supporting within a ladies group, helping young mothers with healthy affordable meals she is still volunteering and has received an award for 20 years of volunteering in 2010. Her achivements in fund raising for a range of charities include being on the main organisation committee for bake sales car boot sales, garden fates and most recently she completed the 5k walk for life 2011 cancer appeal. Bella is a wonderful person who always greets everything with a smile. She has the ability to put a smile on your face at 82 we as a family would like her to slow down just a little bit , but if this happened then all the work she puts into helping others will suffer and she says 'all the while I can I will'. With all the charity work Bella completes she still has time to spend with her children grandchildren and great grandchildren
