Having someone like your little sister being committed to your care has made a big difference to Andrew. His development has been slow but he is recovering. Having someone to do your cleaning, shopping etc takes the worry of some of the normal daily living activities away - things that we all take for granted. Nicole is dedicated to doing this for him to sustain his recovery. In the wider community, raising the awareness of the dangers of stroke among potential high risk classes cannot be overstated. This has been done via Blood Pressure Awareness days organised through the Stroke Association via the Rotary Club, and Nicole has freely given her time to supporting this. Raising money for the cause doing something that terrifies you (sky dive) is also amazing - there is a DVD to prove it. Over £4,000 was raised and Nicole is in the process of planning other ways of raising funds and increasing awareness.
