Nick embodies everything that is true to the Olympics, fight, passion and 100% commitment. In 2009, Nick was struck down with kidney failure. This was at the at the same time as his wife was heavily pregnant with two baby girls (twins). All of this on top of Nick's role as UK Marketing Director for Olympic sportswear brand, adidas. Nick had to undergo a full kidney replacement which has been successful and seen Nick return to work and led the charge for adidas as they approach London 2012. Nick is a great example of how to fight against adversity to succeed and come back stronger and that is why he is nominated to run with the torch.
