Neil set himself a challenge to do 6 events (marathons, triathlons, cycles and swims) in six months to raise money for children's communication charity, I CAN. He didn't like running, swimming or cycling, but he wanted to undertake these challenges to highlight the issues that the 10% of children in the UK with speech, language and communication needs face and the work by I CAN to support them. Neil pushed himself to his personal limits (and beyond) to raise money for Meath School where his son, Jonathan is educated. The whole school and charity got behind his efforts as they were an inspiration. Neil's ultimate aim was to try and highlight the daily struggles for his son and the the other children at Meath - and he was fearless in his efforts to achieve this. We are all really proud of him and think his efforts really deserve recognition.
