Natasha's first love is swimming, she won silver in the 100m butterfly at the nationals when she was just 12 years old and has qualified 2 years in a row for the British Championships, competing alongside the main GBR team. Subsequently she has been on the England Talent Programme for the past 2 years. She is also an exceptional middle distance and cross country runner, competing at both club and county level. At present she is the London Schools 15 and Under, Cross country champion. Her running relies entirely on her swimming training. She has combined both disciplines to be the Pentahlon GB National Schools Biathlon Champion, and in addition has won the London Youth Games Aquathon 2 years running. All this despite having to recover from an appendicectomy and also a fractured elbow over the same time span. She regularly represents the London Borough of Greenwich as one of their talented athletes. She trains every day (and twice a day, four times a week!). She does this on top of all her academic work, leaving very little time for rest and relaxation despite only just being 14 years old. She would really like to represent her country one day at the Olympic games, but is too young this year to be a competitor. If she was able to be a torchbearer she would be so proud to represent her country, and the Olympic Borough of Greenwich. It would inspire her, and mentally make her a stronger competitor, so that fingers crossed she could become an Olympian in 2016.
