Natalie's nomination story

Natalie works at Thomas Cook in Faversham. In the last few years, Natalie has raised approximately £6100 through sponsored running and given it to children in the community, the families of which were customers and are now friends.

Four year old Adam's mother was told that he had only four weeks to live. Natalie and her friends took part in a charity run and raised £2500 so the family could go to Disneyland Paris for their last trip together.

In 2010, Natalie raised £3600 for Daniel by taking part in the London Marathon 2010, seeking donations from customers and local businesses, to raise money for a new wheelchair so Daniel could go about his daily life.

Natalie runs every day and will turn forty in 2012. She feels that carrying the torch for her community and Thomas Cook would be her proudest achievement.
