molly is truly inspirational ! She is a child carer for her sister Megan who is serverly autistic. All her life she has been by her side guiding her through play centres, communicating her needs to others ,in later years as i have become a single parent she has had to help her with daily tasks such as dressing her, cleaning her teeth and brushing her hair. She has often helped with calming her sister when she has been confused with the world around her and delt with her lashing out as many people with Autism do.She has helped to keep her safe when she doesnt have any sence of danger , Held her arm in a crowed shopping centre when she is confused and upset. Molly unlike other teenages takes this all in her stride, claiming she knows no other way and it makes her a stronger person. She never complains or asks why me, she just gets on with it. Molly is a member of Amber Valley athletic club and this opportunity would be a fitting reward for all her years of help , patience and kindness she has given towards her sister and others . Molly would do this with such pride for all those thousands of young carers out there and to bring awareness to others about young people and adults with Autism .
