Blocking and defending is my job when playing Netball. I love the fact that even though your on a team the rules make your role individual.I spent 2 months in South Africa working with girls to establish netball in South African schools. It's the most popular female sport there but I was inspired by the Africa Center to use my coaching skills to educate. I plan to set up a HIV education program which incorporates sport education in schools around Pietermaritzburg at first and then slowly expand. They won't listen if the information is just said to them by using netball and as the project expands potentially football to engage them I hope to be able to really educate. Netball is a passion so by giving township schools the opportunity to play and running HIV workshops alongside the aim is to try and really make a impact. Fund raising begins in October when I go to University.
