Moira Swan

Moira is always giving of her time for other people less fortunate than herself, through a variety of different charitable works. Every year she uses a part of her annual leave, to go to Lourdes in France as a group leader to look after a large group of sick and disabled people. Moira has run a in a number of races, over several years, including 2 Marathons once again giving all the sponsorship money to a variety of different charities.

In July 2011, Moira cycled from London to Paris with a group of colleagues to raise money for her employers dedicated charity, which is Comic Relief.

In her local community, the work she does for those who travel to Lourdes is hugely valued as many of those people would be unable to go without her skills in this role. Moira contribution to all the charities she raises funds for shows her relentless passion to enhance the lives of those who are less fortunate. Moira has also supported a number of the roadshows and shows great passion and enthusiasm, which inspires others to join in. I believe Moira would be an excellent example to others of how determination, energy and a desire to help others can lead to tremendous achievements. As such she would be an excellent Olympic Torchbearer and ambassador in that role for BA.
