Moira Starkey

At the grand old age of 83, Moira completed her first marathon. The Hereford Haven fundraiser who walks with the aid of two sticks, calculated that she could cover the 26-mile distance by going 2000 times round Storridge village hall. To date, Moira has raised over £10,000 for the Hereford charity through sales of home made jam and pickles plus a variety of fundraising events including an annual pancake race held at Storridge village hall, Country and Western evenings, opening her garden with prizes for the person that identifies the most weeds, coffee mornings and indoor Curling nights. Moira is a true inspiration to all the villagers and a vital support to the charity. Moira does not have an email address which is why I have supplied mine.
