Moira Fields

Moira is truly an inspirational person she set up DS West Pennine (Shining Stars) when her son Isaac was 3 & is also co-chair of POINT (Forum for parents of children with additional needs). DSWP is a local Downs Syndrome Group and we are a reg. charity. She is striving to get the best for the children with Down's Syndrome and through her work with POINT all the children with disabilities. DSWP is a parent led group of which Moira is the head - we have lots of fun through play and educational sessions are in place. Parents are also fully supported. Without Moira this would never have happened! Moira is special you see because we all have dreams of setting up a group when we have a child with a disability but she actually DID IT and we owe her such a lot especially when she is a busy working Mum with 3 children of her own. The children of DSWP and POINT hold a very special place in her heart! All the children will be there to cheer her on if she gets through and they will be just so excited because Moira is our true shining star!
