Muaaz's nomination story

Muaaz is an inspirational individual. Having had a kidney transplant aged ten, he has had to overcome adversity his entire life becoming a community organiser and social entrepreneur. He has created, developed and executed a number of projects aimed at children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Muaaz has been a leader in the field of community cohesion having been involved in the 'Generation Without Prejudice' and working with a number of media outlets to advise them on their coverage of ethnic minorities. Through Muaaz's remarkable contribution to society, at an wonderfully young age, he has remakrable moral courage, proving that an illness should not hinder a person from helping others. Muaaz has consistently gone "beyond the call of duty" to help others and to be the best that he can be and has emerged as a role model and mentor to dozens of youngsters.
