Michelle Oakes

I would like to nominate Michelle Oakes not only because I have had the chance recently to help her organise a charity ball at Gatwick for flying start but because she is heavily involved in charity work for Marie Curie year round. She has done treks and climbs all over the world to help raise money for a charity close to her heart. She organises numerous charity events, sells pins and collects money all over Birmingham to do whatever she can to help. Shes definitely worthy of this privilege because to me she bears all the qualities that someone carrying the torch should have. Michelle to me is courageous, strong, selfless, kind and is never willing to accept praise for what she does. She is more than happy to sit in the background and share the glory which to me is her only flaw not accepting credit where it's due. She is definitely into her fitness and sports and all the hype around the Olympics has really boosted her moral. She already has tickets to a football match next year but i have no doubt that if she were to carry the torch it would be the proudest moment of her life. Therefore I think that Michelle for all the work she does and who she is, is not only is my perfect choice for this job but should be yours too.
